Its the HBCU Awards...

Well in case you've been on the moon somewhere and did not know, I am a proud graduate of FLORIDA A&M UNIVERSITY! Yes my dear people, I am a RATTLER! I love my alma mater and I love HBCUs. Historically Black Colleges & Universities run in my family. My sister is a Rattler, my brother is a Wildcat, my father is a Wildcat, my aunts attended FAMU, my cousins attended FAMU, my brother attended SCSU, my cousin is at Howard, and well the list goes on and on. While I love HBCUs I also realize that they do not receive the love nor recognition that they deserve(thats another blog post though). That is why I was so happy to run across an awards ceremony strictly dedicated to HBCUs. Now I am a little disappointed that my lovely alma mater was not nominated in every category but I will let this slide, this time :) Anyhoo if you love HBCUs like I do, check out their site http://www.hbcuawards.net/ and vote, donate funds or purchase a ticket to the ceremony which will be held at NCA&T(Go Aggies).
